FUN FACTS

FUN FACT #1

Established in 1993 by a young man (who I call daddy) with big dreams, and little money in his pocket. He was a delivery driver at the Domino’s next door. One day, he saw an opportunity in building a small business. Restaurant was his first choice because cooking was his only passion. We and the Domino’s have become friendly neighbor ever since!

FUN FACT #2

Did you know the first lunch menu we created only costed $2.50? Our lunch specials were not only cheap, but they were HUGE in portions. My daddy had his mind set on selling quality food that are well-portioned at affordable prices. Why? He always says ‘give them more!’ because those UCLA kids need to have their stomaches happy so that they can concentrate more on studying. Isn’t that cute? We have heard stories after stories from customers who have been eating at our place since they were UCLA students.

FUN FACT #3

The first dish that comes to mind when you think about Thai food is most likely going to be Pad Thai. However, Pad Thai was originated from China in the early 1930s. The dish was accustomed to flavors the Thais were more familiar with; spicy, tangy, and sweet using Chinese noodle. Today, Pad Thai is voted one of the most popular among tourists on the streets of Thailand. If you have a chance to visit Thailand, Pad Thai is one of the “must-trys”!
